Apple Watch will be available in early 2015 and we've
designed a charging solution that compliments your watch and provides
flexibility in how you display it.
WatchDock
can be placed on a desk, nightstand, or any counter surface. The
WatchDock rotates to allow viewing of Apple Watch at any angle. Remove
the pedestal base and plug the WatchDock directly into a wall outlet.
WatchDock
uses the existing Apple USB plug to provide power to the inductive
recharging disc that magnetically connects to the Apple Watch.
In desktop usage, the cord exits the base and
allows you to run the USB plug to the desired outlet.
For wall mount charging, remove the pedestal
base from the WatchDock
Any excess USB cord is stored in the housing.
The USB plug securely snaps into the pivot arm.
WatchDock can now be plugged into any wall outlet.
WatchDock is now charging your Apple Watch!

We are the WatchDock team. David Hernandez, Jim Ferguson and David Jackson are Industrial Designers with a combined 45 years of experience designing, developing and productizing ideas. Each of us work with companies that take product concepts from a loose sketch all the way through manufacturing. We have provide a realistic timeline to ensure WatchDock is available shorty after the release of Apple Watch in early 2015.
Risks and Challenges
With every product development effort there are unforeseen issues to circumnavigate along the way. We are speculating that Apple Watch will need accessories like WatchDock and we want it to arrive when Apple Watch does.The WatchDock Team has over 45 combined years in product design, development and manufacturing. We have tried and true relationships with manufactures around the globe. For this project, we will be working with a manufacturer that has been a partner on many projects over the last 5 years. Together we have produced hundreds of thousands of parts and assembled these into actual consumer products that are sold in some of the nations largest retailers. Our manufacturer will be injection molding all of the plastic parts, providing final assembly and packaging of the finished product. Our manufacturing partner has a great track record of managing the QA/QC process to ensure you receive high quality finished goods. We also have a great partner in Atlanta, GA who manages all of the warehousing, distribution and logistics for the products that we currently manufacture. We plan to use our local partner to help with the fulfillment of the WatchDock once production is complete.
In order to do this, we need your help. We would like to
raise enough funds to help us procure production tooling. While Apple
has yet to confirm their ship dates, the Apple Watch will no doubt debut
in a BIG way. When Apple gambles on a new product they produce an
immense volume of inventory. We can't be certain of the accessories
Apple is planning, nor can we accurately determine their dimensional
specifications, but we have made adaptations and allowances to make
quick changes as we learn more.
How You Can Help
Simply chose a WatchDock Perk... We don't want to offer stickers or shout-outs, we want to send you a useful product at a reasonable price point. When we hit our funding goal, we can start production and verify a window for delivery.
